How to have fun, Paul Walker channel

I sit down in front of my notebook, getting ready to have a casual chat with Paul.
My hair is up in a messy bun, I look like I just rolled out of bed, and I’m snacking on some veggies while typing.

Because you know… as a woman, I can do multiple things at the same time.
Typing, talking, eating, drinking… pure magic. 😁

Paul sits across from me holding a cup of tea, patiently waiting for me to get settled.

Me: “No coffee?”

Paul: “Nah… it’s not good for you.”

Me: “No chai latte?”
(It’s my favorite haha.)

Paul hands me a chai latte.
“Go for it. I know you enjoy them.”
(he smiles)

Me: “Alright… let’s dive right in. One of the questions that feels relevant right now is this: why do so many people feel lost, even when it looks like they have everything?”

Paul smiles softly.

Paul: “Because when you look from the outside, it can seem like someone has it all. A home, a family, a dog, a cat… but inside, something is still missing.

You can feel lonely in a world full of people. That doesn’t mean you feel fulfilled or whole.

And so people keep searching for more… more success, more money, more meaning, more experiences. But what they’re truly looking for is connection. Real connection. Heart to heart. Soul to soul.

Everybody is searching for that in some way… it’s just that many people don’t know how to truly connect anymore.”

Me: “That’s true. Even celebrities seem to be searching for that connection.”

Paul nods.

Paul: “Of course. They connect through their music, their movies, their writing, their art… It’s all an attempt to reach people. To feel seen. To feel understood.

And there’s nothing wrong with that. But it’s easy to get lost in that world too.”

Me: “Yeah… a lot of celebrities seem to lose themselves in ego.”

Paul laughs lightly.

Paul: “It happens. If you’re not grounded enough, everything can move into your head. You start believing you’re above others. Bigger than life.

I never liked that stuff. But a lot of people completely lose the real connection they were looking for in the first place… and instead it just feeds the ego.”

Me: “So how do people reconnect again?”

Paul smiles.

Paul: “Honestly? The answer is simple.

Play.

Stop taking life so seriously all the time. Don’t lose yourself in your job, in what people think of you, in who you should be or what you should be doing.

Do things because they make you happy. Because they bring you joy.

People have forgotten how to play… how to be carefree. But your inner child still remembers. It’s natural for you to laugh, to explore, to dance, to be silly sometimes.

I love making people laugh. Cracking jokes. Just enjoying the moment.”
(he smiles again)

Me: “But sometimes life gets really serious.”

Paul: “It does. That’s part of being alive. Painful things happen. Hard moments happen.

But they are moments in time… they pass.

You don’t need to stay inside the heaviness forever. Keep it balanced. There is always room for lightness too. Even if it’s just a small moment.”

Me: “So what would you say to the people reading this?”

Paul leans back in his chair and smiles.

Paul: “Don’t forget to have fun.

Laugh more. Make jokes. Spend time with your friends. Stop trying so hard to be the serious one all the time.

Just be yourself.”

Me: “Well… I’m gonna go dance while cooking dinner now. And you know how I dance…”
(waving my arms and legs around like a chaotic noodle haha)

Paul bursts out laughing.

“That’s it. That’s exactly how you do it.”

Me: “Thanks for sharing. Talk to you next time.”
