I have been working on accepting parts of myself that I don’t like and have felt ashamed of. I didn’t acknowledge them as a part of my being and how I was created. I realized I wanted to fit into a certain image thinking that I need to be a certain way to be accepted. We all want to fit in and have a sense of belonging and loved by the people that we love too.
I have say that I did not realize I felt this way. This was something that I was unaware of but it was dwelling in my subconsciousness. Lately I have been feeling a little down emotionally and my guides told me that I needed to believe in love in all its imperfections. Love isn’t about only loving the good side, it is also about loving the ugly side. And until I love my own ugly side I can’t fully embrace what love is in all its glory. Because love doesn’t choose what it loves, it just does. So I made the decision to embrace what I thought was wrong about me. I completely opened myself up to love all my flaws because they too are a creation of the Universe and hold unconditional love. I felt a strong urge to draw my dark aspect.. She will help me to integrate all of what I do not love about myself and did not want to see. She might be my dark aspect, but she is me and I fully embrace it with love. I am sharing this drawing and message with you and I hope you too can accept all of who you are.. The good, the bad and the ugly.

“Integration of your own aspects aren’t only those of the light side of your soul. In order to be in balance you must also accept your shadow side. By facing your own fears and by looking at the emotions and traits you don’t like about yourself you will be able to love yourself fully because you can only feel the wholeness within yourself when you embrace ALL of your aspects: those that you love and those that you don’t.
Take a deeper look into yourself and ask yourself what it is that you don’t like about yourself. What are you ashamed of? Do you feel guilt or do you feel jealousy? Do you feel shame? How do you feel about your sexuality, have you been promiscuous? Have you betrayed others? Have you cheated? Have you lied? Have you manipulated others to get your way?
It easy to see what others have done unto you but it takes courage and awareness to see that you too have done what has been done on to you. Life is a circle, all what you are currently experiencing in your life you have gone through in another lifetime doing on to others.
Every soul that chooses to incarnate has at some point misused the power they were given in previous lifetimes, but also in this lifetime. Experiences always go both way: one time you are the villain and the other time you are the victim. One time you are a Saint and the other time you are a sinner. In order for you to see yourself as Love you also need to see that every experience that you have had as a human being came from a place of love. This means that every painful act that you have caused and have gone through was created so that you could see and feel the love even deeper than ever before. Now in this lifetime you are given the opportunity to see that even in pain there is love. This requires for you to accept that there is in fact no duality in love because darkness is a part of love. It is a part of the wholeness within you. Darkness and light are not seperate: they are One. This is a truth that exists in each and one of you. When you are ready to accept that your own darkness is in fact love too you will feel wholeness, acceptance, peace, joy and freedom in every aspect of your life. Nothing from the outside will scare you because you will know the truth that light and darkness are in perfect balance within yourself. Shadows are not to be feared, they are to be accepted as a part of your existence. You were created in the image of perfection and this consists of ALL that you are.”
